Look who benefits with every delicious bite!

Strawberry bliss + your appetite puts the fun in fundraising for a host of charitable groups.

Since the Festival began in 1984 as a tribute to the region’s agricultural industry, more than $4 million dollars has benefited the extended community. With each scrumptious bite of strawberries, you’re helping us help others. Non-profit food booths receive 100% of their sales proceeds while other groups are awarded stipends for services. The Festival appreciates the opportunity to impact lives well beyond the weekend celebration.

Strawberry Fun Facts:

An estimated 1.5+ million berries will be consumed by patrons Festival weekend.

There are approximately 200 tiny seeds in every strawberry.

If all the strawberries produced in California this year were laid berry to berry, they’d wrap around the world 15 times.

Strawberry juice combined with honey will reduce inflammation or sunburn. Rub the mixture thoroughly into the skin before rinsing off with warm water and lemon juice.

The strawberry belongs to the genus Fragraria of the rose family, along with apples and plums. The name of the scientific classification was derived from the Old Latin word for fragrant.
