Strawberry Treats & Vendors

DELICIOUS STRAWBERRY EATS
More than 50 food booths offer everything from strawberry pizza and strawberry nachos, to strawberry kabobs, strawberry funnel cake, strawberry flan, cotton candy, strawberry beer, wine and more. Whether it’s shortcaked, chocolate dipped, ice blended, or funnel caked, strawberries are the celebrated fruit.
Pile it on at the “Build Your Own” Strawberry Shortcake tent, a popular destination. Before the weekend ends, approximately 3,000 loaves of Entenmann’s all Butter Pound Cake will be used, topped by 8,000 pounds of sliced berries, 275 flats of whole berries and finished off with 1,500 cans of Lucerne Whipped Crème.
Best of all, with each delicious bite, 100 percent of proceeds from non-profit food and concession booths benefit close to 20 charitable groups throughout the Southland. Over $3 million has been garnered for donations since the Festival began in 1984.
Bringing together the people and the purpose, the Festival provides the unique ingredient of fun. Members from each non-profit group -- young and old alike working together -- decorate their booth, prepare their strawberry treats, sell to patrons, and reap all the fruits of their labor. The revenues go toward upgraded computers, new sports uniforms, buses for field trips and team competitions, construction and repairs, after school music programs, and more.
Much as the strawberry industry has blossomed into a top producer, the California Strawberry Festival has grown and remained true to its mission of giving back to the community.
